hard drive recovery help
my buddy has dropped his external HD, it had all his creative design work that he brought over from Hawaii.....yep, he does not have a backup copy at all.
anybody here a great 'recovery' tech or know a company that can recover what three Los Angeles companies could not? thanks, Gary |

Won't the hdd start at all?
Professional recovery will costs A LOT of bucks., don't know how important his work is so that's worth the money. Years ago, I read that it is possible to buy the same model of hdd and changing the hdd platters. |

I don't know where you heard that, but that would be virtually impossible to do successfully inside of your home.
