Is dealer being honest about invoice?
Hello All,
After some negotiation, I have been quoted the following as "$700 over invoice:" 328i Mineral Grey Metallic Sport Line Moonroof Variable Sport Steering MSRP = $40195 Sale Price = $38695 Is this accurate? I know edmunds.com invoice for this car is $37,210, but I am aware of the "MACO" on BMW invoice that is not included in the edmunds.com number. I'm planning to lease with the standard 64% residual and .0019 money factor that is being offered now for 12k miles/year. Thanks all in advance. Last edited by mjud; 05-16-2012 at 11:25 AM. |

I get a slightly different number. Edmunds invoice at $37010 + APX $480 MACO + $700 = $38190 MACO can go up or down by a $20-$30, but I don't it that much more. Offer $38,190 if you're doing $700 over invoice. Ask to see the invoice on the car you want, and add $700, then you'll know for sure. |

BMW dealers have 7% profit in their cars (from MSRP)
This excludes any extra $ incentives like Eco credit, option credit, lease credit, etc. Just take 7% off the MSRP, and you'll see their true "invoice" price. |
