Exhaust valve 328i

Dr. Christophe Lutterman of BMW said that the actuation of the valve varies with the driving mode control.

I disconnected the valve in my car and wired it in the open position. This only made a slight difference so I did some additional exhaust modifications to make it louder.

Was it easy to disconnect and lock the valve in the open position? What else did you do to the exhaust, and did it make a noticeable difference?

It is very easy to disconnect. The actuator is linked to the valve by a spring clip. You just have to remove the spring clip. Then either tie the valve stem or glue it in the open position.
