328i Ordered - BMW 3-Series Forum (F30 / F32)

I just ordered my 328i and pretty excited about receiving it. Was wondering if anyone in the southeast knows what brand tire is on the sports pkg version?

4/16/12 - Ordered @ Dealer
4/18/12 - Rcvd Prod. Number
4/23/12 - Prod. Started
4/30/12 - Production Completed
5/01/12 - Car Released to Carrier
5/XX/12 - Left Port on Ship
5/XX/12 - Arrived @ US Port
5/XX/12 - @ Dealer for Pickup

Hopefully it sticks to a May Delivery.

My production completion date was May 2nd, but as of today it has changed to April 30. I just need to start checking boats to see if it's going to make it earlie than I expected.

I'm sure waiting on a ship will eat up plenty of my time since I got lucky on the speed of production, but I guess I'll have to wait and see.

So was mine, but it is already on its way to port. I bet ours go on the same boat!

We'll find out hopefully soon unless it turns into a long wait at port. I have my VIN but not going to bother my CA to find out which boat until I know for sure it's on one.

Assuming the system is up to date, looks like mine is finally on the way to the port. Going to keep my fingers crossed it doesn't sit there for too long before it is put on a ship and heads out.

Waiting in Port (assuming Bremerhaven) since 5/4/12. Is the wait time in port pretty much up in the air?

Called my CA yesterday and he said my car went on the boat overnight but he said there was no info on the boat. Is that normal or should he be able to tell me?

At this point I just tried looking at W&W for their schedule even though it could be another shipper. Any ideas?

Do you have the VIN? If not, your CA can give it to you. You can track it at WW here: http://www.2wglobal.com/www/wep/index.jsp

click on "track and trace" then type your VIN into the cargo ID section. If it's been shipped it will show up and tell you what ship it's on. Mine's on the Brilliant Ace, left the 3rd and will be on West coast June 1st. Should be nearing the East coast now!

I'm having to guess on ships since my CA tells me they don't know anything at this point. I'm surprised given how much info everyone seems to get from their CA that he has no ship name or estimated date of any type.

Is BMWUSA pretty accurate for a guestimate on the date it left on a ship? Mine updated on 5/11/12 so I assumed it left either the 10th or the 11th.
