I understand that you were trying to be a smart-ass, but if you would of read the post before mine the poster clearly mentioned that they would ask for upgraded floor mats( due to a long wait). Thus I was just co-signing his demand.

for those of you that took delivery of cars built in SA, how did it take for the car to be shipped from when it got on the boat to when it got to the US?? My car is going to port of exit today so just wanted to gauge how long it will be on a boat.

My SA 335i was loaded on boat around July 26th, then was shipped up to Bremerhaven making multiple stops along the way. Then, it was unloaded and then reloaded to another boat, and sent to Canada, then to U.S. Mine arrived in the NJ port on Sept 6th (I am in PA). In total,..40+ days. My total wait for the car was 165 days . I understand the frustration very well But, the car is absolutely fantastic, very happy now, and you will be too once it is here

This is only my story, it may be totally different for you. Possibly they ship direct to U.S. as well ? I sincerely hope you do not have the wait I did.

That is about what my wait was too. My car was done mid-June and didn't get on a boat till end of July. It seems like its a ship a month from S/A. You missed the first one, must have have already been booked to capacity, but I would bet you are on a ship any day now. Keep the faith.

My 335i is an "F" - Munich made car. It's a PCD car if that matters?

My CA told me my car is finally on a ship after waiting at the port for 4 weeks. Does anyone know the time it takes to ship to east coast US, and the carrier they use from SA?

Ordinary order for USA delivery, didn't ask for a specific build location, and per the VIN I just got it was built in Regensburg, Germany.

335i xDrive.
