UK track order? - BMW 3-Series Forum (F30 / F32)

Anyone in UK know if there any way to track our order like those in the USA can?

I don't think it's possible. The cars enter the UK thru Southampton and because they are EC shipments there is no Customs Clearance involved. All overseas shipments are tracked based on Bill of Lading information provided for overseas customs authorities.

God I really should get out more

That was actually really helpful so thank you, after looking all over the Internet for an answer I thought id try my luck here. Many UK BMW owner hopefuls will find your answer of use. Pity we can't track it, I was quite excited about that

Both turned out true.

Just over 1 month from order to driving it.

Dealer was pretty good on keeping me posted too.

But no tracking tool.

Mind you, my brother is waiting for a 4 ringed thing and he's ordered in January and has a delivery date of July now (after 3 changes - 2 of them delays).

thats so dissapointing there's no tracking... i was really looking forward to my daily progress check

To be honest my dealer has been rubbish on keeping me informed... I have waited 6 weeks and only had 2 updates, both of those were when I called them to find out..

Definately. BMW NA offer so many more incentives to buy new, plus things like track order!

I also wondered how BMW customers in NA could so accurately track their order!

Usually the dealer will be able to give dates in ranges of one working week.

For example, I just found out the factory have confirmed the chassis number and they can track this on their order system, it goes into build week 11 (next week) and then delivered to the UK week 14 (1st week of April) ready for delivery after PDI (Post Delivery Inspection) week 15 (2nd week of April).
