New here....19" wheels are only available on the 335?

Hey all,

I'm looking into leasing either a 335 or a 328 Sportline (yes I know I'm terrible at making decisions).

From my research I've noticed that the 19" wheels are only available on the 335 here in the US, however in Europe you can get them with the 320d and the 328(?).

Why is that? I was always under the impression car manufacturers made the bigger wheel and tire packages for us 'Mericans who like everything bigger.

If I had to guess I'd say it's because our roads suck here in "merica"... More rubber between wheel and road helps offset the bumps and decrease potential for cracking rims. I've had two instances where a pothole has cracked an aluminum rim.

Yes but if they offer them with the 335 why not just offer them with the 328 like the rest of the world

So you'll spend a few thousand more on a 335

It's always been that way, and for most manufacturers for that matter... Better wheel options with the bigger engine.

I'm sure your dealer will be more than happy to sell you 19" wheels for your 328i if you ask them.

I think (based upon the documentation) that the 328i and 335i M-Sport package will both get 19" wheels as an option.

AFAIK the 328i in the US does not get the 19" wheel and tire package. It will probably get it with the M-Sport package however that isn't being released here until September and I need a new car

Pretty sure the standard M-Sport wheel package will be staggered 18" with 19" optional (at least in the US).
