Actually, the X5 has the same range for me as the F30 does for me, both about 300-350 miles. Sure, it shows a 400-450 range when your tank is full in both the X5 and F30 but that's not up to par in what you really drive on a tank in the end.

The X5 has about 10 gallons more in it's tank so it is indeed a bit odd to compare this to the F30, it also has a worse mileage. 600 miles in the F30, in the diesel variants perhaps but I highly doubt to see this in the 328i or 335i.
