E93 M3 --> F30 335i Sport Line....?

You have a E93 M3 and love the drive but you see the new F30 335i and you fell in love with the new look, and love the improved fuel economy, will you change???

Nope! I'd be happy with an M3!

Why would you even consider changing? :

I think that's a legit question. It depends on what you need / enjoy. Performance will take a hit going to the F30 but not nearly as bad as you might expect. Aesthetics would be improved with the F30 as would the technology and interior comfort. My take is this - if you aren't too impatient and can afford the upgrade to the new M3 coming out in the next few years, wait. If that's a stretch, go with a loaded 335i now and I doubt you'd be disappointed.

In a perfect World, I'd have your car AND an F31 Touring for my daily driver. Since I can only have one, I'm buying the F31. The M3 is much more awesome than any non-M 3 series, but it is also super expensive to own and it sucks gas like there is no tomorrow. My heart say's M3 hands down, but my wallet says 328i I cant wait!

Since you already have it, I say keep the M3.

M3's are too expensive here (200k AUD).. so that's why we've got a F10 and F30.. but definitely if the price diff wasn't much ~20-30k I would stick with the M3

I'm planning on getting an M3 sedan in 2014 or 2015 and trade in or sell my F30.

You must be talking about highway miles. My friend gets 11 in his dual clutch M3 coupe.

I CHANGED!

I had the 2011 E93 M3 for 8 months and I am switching to a F30 335i in 2 weeks.. I like the M3 and it is fast and awesome, but it suck my wallet dry on fill up as I am a heavy footer. A tank of gas on M3 only last me 200 miles and it eat up 15 gallons @ $4.40 a gallon which is a lot., I also always like to have a 4 door car......... M3 is nice and looks cool but the style is dated as it don't have the LED Corona Ring Headlight.

About 150 bucks to upgrade to LED angel eye running lights.

I had a 335i before my M3 and it was an excellent car. It simply can't hold a candle to the M though.

I wonder if the fact that you were carrying around 400+ extra pounds in your e93 made your performance and more importantly fuel economy significantly worse than they would have been in a coupe or sedan.

Lol, Everyone is different, i got a lease of m3 e93 zero down $580 a month lease and i still dont like the car, f30 is much better,... :-)

I guess it is like if you don't have it you always wants one, and once you have it, it makes no difference to you. I use to like when i can have an m3 but after owning one, it makes no difference as I cannt drive over 100mph in US. I miss driving in Germany where i took the M3 to 120 mph at minimum.... Here with speed limit to 65mph, it is just another car on the highway...

We went from the E46 M3 to an X5 and now we're getting the F30... I do miss the M from time to time but when I think about the comfort of the ride (too stiff a ride for Hawaii with all the potholes) and practicality (we got the X5 and got rid of the M3 because my wife was pregnant) and the mileage, then I'm ok that we got rid of it.

Would not change. My philosophy however is to buy high quality cars, maintain them well, and keep them for a long time.
