I was just wondering if anyone is ordering this color?

I'm undecided in what color to order. I like light colors and I like metallic colors so really my only options are limited to the glacier silver or mineral white colors. Thanks a lot BMW for the whopping overwhelming choices :-( It seems like BMW selected mostly dark colors for this lineup. Ideally, I'd like something like a champaigne color which is largely silver with a very slight dash of beige in it.

I wonder how this glacier silver looks in person. I see the least of it in all of BMW's promo events and photos. Maybe the silver craze of the earlier part of this decade has unofficially died? Don't know. Remember that? When almost every car on the street was silver? But I still like silver. I can't imagine a 1950's Porsche or Mercedes Gullwing not being silver. Silver has always been a classic color in my mind, just sometimes I think it peaks and unpeaks in popularity.

Im sure its a really nice silver, i have personally owned to many silver cars and decided to switch it up to a grey...i went with mineral grey, but you can never go wrong with silver imo

completely agree with your thoughts, but maybe its a good thing for us Silver loyalists. now there will be less silver cars since BMW and other brands are not pushing silver paint. the F30 [launch] paint selections blow, i wanted space gray and i don't think i can do mineral gray it is so dark. i am pretty sure i am going with Glacier Silver, as you said its classic, it shows the F30s beautiful lines and shadows, and it is easy to keep clean [in the desert]. all the dealers in AZ are receiving a Mineral Gray F30 with their demo allocation, i will look really hard at it. if i am blown away i will order Mineral Gray (i have had 3 silver cars before my current black Z4), but if not i am going with Glacier Silver. and i will fill this thread with pics when she arrives!

Yea, I like the lighter colors because they show the car's lines and are easier to keep clean. Black or dark cars always look dirty here in the northeast from Dec to May because of all the crap on the road (sand and salt).

I think space grey was much better than mineral grey.

I'm still considering this Glacier Silver color.

I love Glacier Silver. It looks so sexy and it hides dirt nicely. That combo with the Coral Red interior and Aluminum trim is my favorite.

My first post! Looking at multiple options for my next car and the F30/31 is in the lead for now. Anyways, I used to drive an e46 325i in titanium silver. You can really see the lines and shadows in silver. So it makes sense for a good looking car. I would never get a pontiac aztek in silver for instance. Not that I would ever get an aztek....what were they thinking?! I had nightmares for days when that monstrosity first came out. But I digress. I also like how the color almost matches the wheels. Plus easy to keep clean. I may end up getting another silver 3! The way its looking right now, it may be a silver 328 m-sport wagon, stick (i got the "save the manuals" sticker on my mini).

I don't mind the hood to bumper line too much as long as it is an even gap from one end to the other. That... would drive me nuts.

I usually don't reply to things like this, but that is, WITHOUT question, unlatched on the passengers side. Not a hood gap...

It's obviously at an unveiling event of some sort, which inevitably means that someone had the hood up to look at the engine...

I notice that a lot of the other colors have people receiving their vehicles and posting owner pictures of actual vehicles. Seems like very few people have ordered Glacier Silver.

Does anyone actually have their Glacier silver and are you please able to post pictures of it?

Nearly all the above pictures are from launch, auto show, magazines. Looking for actual owner photos of glacier silver.

i will have my Glacier Silver in less than 2 weeks and will post pics. i am hoping Glacier Silver stays unpopular so that my silver F30 stands out for at least a year or so.
