Premium Sounds? - BMW 3-Series Forum (F30 / F32)

90% of the time I'm on radio I'm dialed to 1010WINS AM, news. 90% of the time I listen to music I'm going through Apple lossless files. 50% of the time I'm in the car I don't drive with sound.

Where's the sweet spot for the sound pak? Digital radio? CDs?

I use sirius 50% time bpm 51...other 50% dance mix cd's...always cranking the tunes

I actually might consider doing this depending on what the UI looks like on the iDrive, and how easy it is to navigate. Its hard to search through songs and playlists on the 2 line display that has been in the e90 for the last 6 years. Cant wait to hear the HK system. I hope it has some nice boom lol.

It's a 100 times better than that two line display. If you have a iPhone then the full iPod interface within the phone can be replicated on the idrive screen. Search BMW plugin or iPod out in google.

If you're working off an iPhone with tunes in Apple lossless format and listening to AM radio, are you going to notice the difference between the stock system and an HK?

Just wondering if that isn't like approaching a thumbtack with a sledgehammer.

My wife used to have the Harmon Kardon premium sound in her E46 M3 and I loved how that sounded, especially compared to the standard sound (well, I did have HD radio and all that but no Harmon Kardon sound system) in my E70 X5. There is a world of difference if you ask me
