Great video

That's the first video I've seen of the new F30 that shows what it's like to sit in the car. Love the driver orientation

Wow! That car looks better each time. His car was optioned to the hilt. Love the engine sound.

What I loved the most is that he said you would NEVER KNOW that this is a four cylinder engine.

While the motor may make the power and torque it claims, it's definitely not as as refined as the 6 cyl - it just feels like it's "missing" something. You can experience this motor today at a local BMW dealer here in the US - just test drive a 2012 528i. I had one as a loaner which is what my feedback is based on. I believe the base Z4 also has this motor.

It really bugs me that the tach does not sit lower than horizontal at idle.
Otherwise, sexy interior. Still a little 'toyish' for my liking, Would like to sit in the other 'lines' and see what they feel like inside, or get rid of that red stripe from the dash and leather.

Otherwise, this will likely be my next car (or a 335) , if my e92 ever dies.

The guy in this video knows what he talks about imo!
I've had every 3 series from the icon E30 to the E90.
I'm confident the F30 is the bet yet, by far!
It adresses the previous weaknesses of BMW, from the interiour, to the design, a very sucsessful blend imo.
And what the 328 lacks in soul, from not beeing an I6, it makes it stand out as an efficient, modern solution.
And i think very few will want the old I6 328i back, having tried this new I4 N20 imo

I really like it. I think the 328i would be the car for me. In 2 years time if all is well, i.e. a slightly used option, directly from Germany or one of dealer demo cars at good price. For now they're too expensive at 45k + EURO so I'm sticking to a well specced E90 for now.

but the F30 looks fantastic. Well done BMW. I don't get why they all love Audi interiors, the A6 or R8, sure, but the A4 is crap. Never thought much of it, and my friend who owns an S line A4 feels the same way.

The 528 weighs 400lbs more then a 328...test a z4 i you want a real comparison...the 328 is very similar weight to a z4.

THIS. Anything lower than the A6 is just rubbish and I really don't see the appeal. So right now, as much as I'm not feeling the F30 interior (I still love the simplistic and clean look of the E90) it IS the best in class.

The new technology is kind of cool, but Eco pro mode? Fail! And the perfectly straight line on the front of the hood? Fail! The new 5 would be the shit without the hood line and I have to say the same with the 3. Not a fan, looks too high without a front splitter, rear looks goofy and the kidney grills look cheaper every time they change them. But that hood line is pure ugliness, sorry guys E90 for life! Now is the time to get my v10 and engine swap here I come!

I'm tired of seeing the same test car over and over again, car looks like it's going to be great but I would like to see more videos of the other "lines". Also if it pulls like that with no chip I can only imagine how it'll be with one.

Did anybody else hear and see Michael Moore as the presenter here?

Good review but I couldn't get over that.

Really? You think so? I certainly don't think that at all. I must be the sober one I guess, because there are lots of things about this car that would make me take my money elsewhere to get a replacement for my '11 M3.

Hey auto Spy. A little more driving video next time. Wow this car looks good, the interior is nice and the engine sounds primo.

I just might trade in the E90 for this.

Will see how the test drive goes.

So here is the deal. The reviews I am seeing of the 328 all seems to have the style 401 staggered 19" wheel. It looks nice however based on the Pricing sheet it seems it is not even offered on the 328 and is an option on the 335. So how come all the review cars have it. Is it that those cars are for a different market or is BMW pulling a fast one. Btw why did they give up on the staggered setup and low profile on the sports line ( package). I mean 45 profile may be considered low profile but I always think BMW pick on lower profiled tires set them apart. It's one of the things i never liked about the infinity g sedan when I was looking at getting one. The adaptive suspension shoud be able to dial out any harshness. And don't get me started on 225 on the rears on a sports sedan with sport package! Tell me I'm seeing this wrong.
