1) Which is bigger: 2.5 Trillion, or 2.5 Trillion PLUS 1 Trillion?

If YOU want to really understand what needs to be done you'd know that no amount of budget cuts and tax increases will dissolve our deficit. It will continue to rise as long as we are in a poor and faltering economy and the only way the debt will decrease is by getting the economy up on its feet. Government is not the answer even though you wish it was!
